Marchman, Fred American (b.1946) 'QUEEN BEE' lithograph signed, dated, titled & numbered: lower margin,1993, 4 of 15 paper size: H22in W14in *Note: A wandering artist and scholar, he was born in Mobile, graduated from the University of Alabama, took his master's degree in fine arts at Tulane, spent three years in the Peace Corps, teaching in Ecuador, has lived and worked and exhibited in California, South Carolina, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, came back to Mobile in 1979. He has taught, painted murals, exhibited paintings, drawings, sculpture (including carved decoy ducks of great style), has published poetry and has worked for years on his literary magnum opus, The Dictionary of the Nail, as well as the chronicles of Dr. Jo-Mo and the Southern Belle.
