Matching pair Chinese painted silk panels for the European market 18th/19th century
depicting four scroll cartouches supported by flower festoons and leafscrolls, two inset with flowers within diamond trelliswork above the others depicting European woman and European couple, scene also dotted with butterflies and birds; within wood frames of later date.

Provenance: The J. Louis Binder Collection of Chinese Export Art (a portion of which sold in an eponymous auction at Christie's of London in 2003).
