Metzger, Evelyn Borchard New York (1911-2004) 'MACCHU PICCHU' oil on masonite, framed signed & titled: lower right & verso H30" W24" *Provenance: Property of a South Carolina Museum; sold to benefit the Acquisitions Fund. *Artist biography: Metzger painted a variety of subjects in various styles including realism, impressionism, fauvism and cubism. She painted many urban genre scenes of New York City. In 1950, she had a major exhibition in Argentina and then exhibited in France, Mexico and the United States.
