Monumental Daum Nancy cameo glass vase circa 1890 this extraordinary baluster-form vase is decorated with a spring landscape of blooming trees, lake and mountains in the background; coloured in rose pink, brown, green, yellow, and rust brown colour; the background at the bottom is a dark mottled green and rest brown; signed in enamel Daum Nancy with cross of Lorraine, and artist signed AROR/AP. The base is a round bun form; the process of decorating this vase was known as vitrification, glass powders were applied to the vase and then wheel and cameo carved. H20.125in
