Description:

New York Classical carved mahogany game table, attributed to Duncan Phyfe circa 1825, crossbanded rectangular hinged top swiveling above brass-inlaid frieze, on tapering, faceted columns to trestle base with carved downswept legs joined with faceted and ring-turned stretcher on brass cups and casters.
H29 1/2" W36 1/2" D36 1/4" open

Provenance: Estate of the late Francis D. "Skeeter" McNairy, Savannah, Georgia.

    Condition:
  • Refinished, filled shrinkage crack on playing surface, minor scratches on top surface, scattered small areas of veneer loss, possible repair to right column base and right rear leg, wear to original wall paper in well, overall very good condition with other minor imperfections consistent with age.
