Description:

North Carolina stoneware jars circa 1940, alkaline glazed with elongated rim, scalloped handles and tapering form bearing the stamp: four, twice, once under handle and one at right of handle, attributed to B.B. Craig Hickory, NC, together with circa 1870 salt-glazed storage jar having tooled lip above scalloped handles continuing down to straight sides, attributed to the Craven family, of the Piedmont region of NC.

Provenance: Property from a Southern gentleman's private collection.
