Pair Chinese Export Holden armorial saucers circa 1765
ocatagonal form decorated in the famille rose palette, gilt rim, border with alternating butterflies and floral sprays surrounding central gilt spearhead design centering arms of HOLDEN.

Provenance: The J. Louis Binder Collection of Chinese Export Porcelain (a portion of which sold in an eponymous auction at Christie's of London in 2003).

  • One plate with a re-restored rim from the 10 o' clock position to the 1 o'clock position which was formerly mended. Very nice restoration. The other plate with six little glaze flakes to upper side of rim.

    ** All Chinese Export porcelain pieces have been examined under bright light and UV light. All show slight wear consistent with age. Only repairs
    and restorations, or wear greater than expected will be mentioned in condition reports.
