Pair Chinese Export Watson armorial plates circa 1770
scalloped and floral decorated rim surmounted by crest of Admiral John WATSON over spearhead band centering floral spray.

Provenance: The J. Louis Binder Collection of Chinese Export Porcelain (a portion of which sold in an eponymous auction at Christie's of London in 2003).

    Condition:
  • One with five small glaze flakes to front and five others to verso. The other with one glaze flake to verso and four others to front.

    ** All Chinese Export porcelain pieces have been examined under bright light and UV light. All show slight wear consistent with age. Only repairs and restorations, or wear greater than expected will be mentioned in condition reports.
