Pair Chinese Export Watson/Wentworth armorial plates circa 1755
octagonal form, rim painted with floral sprays and coronet against chain innerborder and centering arms of WATSON quartering WENTWORTH (Marquis of Rockingham) above motto: En Dieu Est Tout.

Provenance: Purchased from Mildred Mottahedeh in the 1960s.

    Condition:
  • Both plates in very good original condition, surface paint with some wear and natural discoloration as well as rubbing and wear to guilding. Rims with minor glaze nicks and firing flaws.
