circa 1890
fourteen karat yellow gold, the center inlaid with black enamel bordered by engraving on either side, with gold engraved shield at hinge and closure areas; unmarked. Retail replacement value $800. (Some scratches to enamel work, none of which passes through to the gold, otherwise good condition)
