Pair English sterling dessert stands, John S. Hunt London, dated 1853
outturned frosted glass bowls supported by pedestal of allegorical interpretation depicted puttis charading as Love and War enframed with scrolling grapevine and round molded base, cartouche engraved with unidentified coat-of-arms; complete hallmarks and maker's mark of John Samuel Hunt.
H11 1/2" Dia.10 1/4", and 93.26oz

    Condition:
  • Good condition with a few spots of soldering along vine-form stems which support bowls, these appear to be original to the piece. Glass bowls in good condition and are possibly of a later date.
