Description:

Pair French gilt-bronze and marble urns second half 19th century
carved rouge marble top on Classical urn form molded with extensive scene of cherubs and Bacchanalian infants in harvest scene, flanked by mythical horned mask handles, on divided and mounted marble base; converted to lamp.

Provenance: Atlanta, Georgia private collection.

    Condition:
  • One urn with oxidation to gilt metal banding on base. The other with possibly restored marble base. Both having been converted to lamps Otherwise overall good condition with normal wear consistent with age.
