Pair Georgian mahogany inlaid knife boxes late 18th century
contoured slanted lid over conforming case, opening to reveal fitted interior with cutouts for flatware, with brass locks and handles.

Short pieces of purfling missing from both boxes; veneer has many stabilized hairline cracks, especially to back panels. Interiors appear original, depth of lid is 2 5/8". Overall good condition consistent with age, and when placed back-to-back they do match.
