signed "Spring"; continuous arm with shaped back support above baluster turnings, to plank seat supported by baluster-turned legs joined by H-stretcher

Other Notes: These chairs are stamped "Spring" on the back of the plank seat. Bernard Cotton's book lists three chair makers with the name Spring. All are from High Wycombe of the Thames Valley.

    Condition:
  • Older refinish, minor shrinkage cracks, scratches in seats, other minor imperfections consistent with age.
