Pair Louis XV carved fruitwood and cane fauteuils late 18th/early 19th century
cartouche-shaped back carved with shell motifs, with shaped arms flanking serpentine seat, having cane panels and loose cushion, on cabriole legs unified by X-stretcher.

Provenance: Property from an Asheville, North Carolina private collection.

  • Minor wear to frames and scuffs to feet; old, inactive woodworm holes. Few shrinkage cracks, but overall very good condition consistent with age.
