Pair Meissen porcelain covered urns circa 1900
elaborate rococo-style domed covers with applied floral designs and winged cherubs, resting on an urn-form body with extensive landscape scene encircled by floral motifs, flanked by floral-form handles mounted with cherubs, on reticulated stem and base; underglaze-blue crossed swords on underside.

Provenance: Property from an Asheville, North Carolina private collection.

    Condition:
  • Losses to applied flowers throughout as to be expected. Cherubs seem intact without evidence of any repairs, vases and bases are in good condition. Normal wear to gilding.
