Pair of Georgian carved mahogany side chairs circa 1820 each with shaped carved crestrail above a pierced carved urn-shaped backsplat with tassels; over an upholstered saddle seat; resting on square blind fretwork-carved legs with casters; joined by pierced carved molded stretchers. (Old repairs and appears to have had arms at one time, one chair has some cracks on stretchers) Provenance: Dover Plantation, Georgetown, SC descended in family to present owner.
