Pair Paris porcelain fruit coolers or ice pails 19th century, double-handle urn form decorated with flowering vine entwined laurel leaf and gilt band, marked indistinctly.

Provenance: Estate of Virginia Comer, Macon, Georgia.

    Condition:
  • Appears that the decorated base also serves as a cover with each liner fitting into the stand and the interior of the pail. One cooler with drilled bottom, otherwise both bodies in good original condition. One liner rim broken and stained; cover/base with missing finial and rim nicks. The other liner with hairlines; other cover/base with stains and hairlines to interior and missing finial. Overall all pieces with wear to gilding consistent with age.
