Description:

Pair Sevres style ormolu-mounted porcelain covered urns late 19th century
painted scenes depicting mischievous cherubs in romantic settings signed Quentin, on gilt scrollwork and cobalt ground mounted with decorative ormolu bands and Bacchus mask handles; covers with pseudo Sevres interlaced marks.
H33" W12 1/2" (approximate) at widest point

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #78.33.118)

    Condition:
  • Overall in very good original condition. One cover restored. Minor wear to gilding and some patination and discolorations to bronze mounts.
