Rare Chinese Export crocus pot with lid circa 1840 famille rose; pedestal shaped square body with removable lid and blue woven strap handles; decorated with two cartouches of figures in gardens; two of figures in interiors; decorated overall with pink and blue flowers; yellow and blue meander designs at base and lid. (Large chip at upper corner restored, cracks in interior of pot and two on underside of base; chip to interior corner of lid; wear to glaze.)
