Rare Chinese Export rouge de fer bowl circa 1740 deep circular form with shallow lobed sides and brown-edged rim, decorated with finely drawn repeating pattern of exotic flowers, scrolls and ribbon-tied musical stones pendent from ruyi-shaped panels, in shaded tones of iron red with details in grisaille, between multiple borders around interior and exterior lip and splayed foot, with traces of gilding.
