Rare Savannah River Map, Plan von Neu Ebenezer, Matthaeus Seutter published 1747, Augsburg. Printed above plate with map of the Southeastern coast and detail of Saint Simon's Island engraved by T.C. Lotter and a diagram for mill houses on the river. Unframed with nice handcoloring.

Other Notes: Ebenezer was planned to be a German settlement located north of Savannah, Georgia. Evidence that the plans may have been partially executed can be found in DeBrahm's Map of South Carolina and a Part of Georgia (lot 600).

  • Worn edges and corners; center crease not noticeable from front except for two tears at top and bottom of crease; bottom tear reinforced with clear tape; stain at bottom left of map of Southeastern coast; age discoloration; hinged at top to backing board.
