Rare set George II sterling candlesticks, John Cafe London, dated 1749-52
removable anthemion-molded nozzle supported by paneled baluster stem on acanthus laden quatrefoil base engraved crest of possibly the Byng family branch; complete hallmarks and marker's mark of John Cafe, the underside is also engraved with initials EB.
H8 1/4", and 66.3oz

    Condition:
  • Some bobeches appear to faint remnant lions standard mark which are very worn. All in good original condition with wear consistent with age. Two bear the "O" date letter and two with "R".
