Cal 72C mechanical movement, 17 jewels, silvered dial, applied faceted numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, outer date ring with blue Arabic numerals, central arrow date hand, two windows for day and month, three subsidiary dials; with Rolex leather wristband; works marked: Rolex 17-rubies, Swiss Made, inside back cover marked: Montres, Rolex S.A., Geneva, Switzerland, Patented, Stainless Steel, Swiss Made 6236; dial W1 5/8" overall L10 1/4"

Other Notes: The Rolex Ref. 6236 is one of the most desirable models of the Dato-Compax series. It is one of the most complex references that Rolex ever produced.

These Anti-magnetic chronograph with triple date was produced in few examples from 1958 to the early 1960s in yellow, pink gold and very few in stainless steel, with various dial designs and hand shapes.

Known among collectors as the 'Jean-Claude Killy.' Mr. Killy is an internationally renowned French World Cup alpine ski champion of the 1960s and remains as the ambassador of Rolex in numerous advertising campaigns.

    Condition:
  • Watch is being sold by the original owner; over the years had base maintained; replacement Rolex leather wristband; watch functioning, as is the second subsidiary dial; luminescence is worn and timers not functioning; it has not been serviced or worn for many years.
