Scottish oak tall case clock first half 19th century
broken arch pediment over colonettes flanking glazed tombstone door, on central case with engaged and fluted quarter columns, lower molded case on shaped bracket feet; works marked: Jas. Aitken, Markinch.

    Condition:
  • Refinished, shrinkage crack in door and bottom panel, finials replaced, dial paint is original, other minor imperfections consistent with age. Clock movement is complete with weights and pendulum however it is not running in the gallery.
