Description:

Southern inlaid mahogany Pembroke table attributed to Charleston, SC circa 1800-10 rectangular top with D-shaped drop leaves, over single frieze drawer and opposing faux drawer, on tapered legs with stringing and ankle banding; secondary woods white pine and mahogany. (Lacking small piece of skirt banding, otherwise good condition consistent with age) H28 1/8" D31 3/4" W37 3/4" open *Note: The extensive use of three-line inlaid decoration on the skirt and set within the edge of the top and the flattened 'D' shaping of the leaves, in conjunction with secondary materials utilized are consistent with Charleston work during the Neoclassical period.
