Southern mahogany server, possibly Beaufort or Charleston circa 1820 plain-edged backboard with rounded corners on heavy top, case fitted with two drawers and three doors, supported on turned legs and feet. (Veneer chips to edge of top and drawer blade, shrinkage cracks to top, old repairs) H46 5/8" W50 3/4" D22 1/2" NOTE: Secondary woods are bald cypress and white pine. Bald cypress is coastal and its principal range is the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida.
