Other Notes: Martha Sarah Taylor Howell was the granddaughter of Colonel Thomas Taylor, who was co-founder of Columbia, South Carolina. She married William Burney Means of Fairfield County, South Carolina, at Trinity Cathedral, and moved to Roseneath Plantation, Gloster, Louisiana in the mid 1840s.
