Southern stoneware jug, possibly Jasper Gibbs circa 1860 three gallon ovoid form with strap handle stamped with initials JG or JC on shoulder. (Good overall condition with T-shaped crack in lower third of piece measuring H3 1/2" vertically and W5 1/2" horizontally, some loss to glaze and green paint residue) H14" Reference: Koverman, Jill Beute.
