Description:

Southern stoneware storage jar Virginia or West Virginia, circa 1880
having salt glaze and tooled rim above brushed cobalt three and combination iron and cobalt bird decoration on cylindrical body.
H11" W10 3/4" D10 3/4"

    Condition:
  • Shallow abrasions to both upper and lower lips of tooled rim along with very tight hairline occuring at upper backside stretching 6" from top to mid-body, otherwise good condition wear consistent with age.
