Description:

Southern walnut Federal chest of drawers North Carolina or Virginia, circa 1820
banded and inlaid rectangular top over four banded and cockbeaded graduated drawers, resting on flaring French feet joined by a shaped skirt.
H42 1/2" W39 1/4" D21 1/4"

    Condition:
  • Secondary wood is yellow pine. Not a great deal of finish remaining on chest, no apparent replacements to case. Repair to center of each drawer blade just to right of lock. Brasses are replaced, but replacements are old.
