Description:

Two Charles II style tapestry open armchairs 18th/19th century
rectangular back and straight arms flanking padded seat, all with topnailed tapestry panels, on block-and-ring turned legs unified by corresponding stretchers.

Provenance: Sumter, South Carolina private collection.

    Condition:
  • Fabric very worn with some repairs, wear and chips consistent with age to frames. Several repairs to leg blocks, rubbing to feet.
