serial number 15204; falling block, walnut stock, blue finish; dual ignition system, rimfire and percussion; marked "BALL & WILLIAMS, WORCESTER MASS, MERWIN & BRAY AGTS, NEW YORK" on left side of breech, BALLARDS PATENT, NOV. 5 1861" on right, "PATENTED JAN. 5, 1864" on left side of hammer spur.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #50.11.03). Brass plaque with State of Texas Inventory #724-16627 riveted to buttplate.
