brass hilt, eaglehead pommel, bone grip, blued and gilt blade; marked "E. RICHARDS & CO." reverse of blade; leather scabbard with brass mounts.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #55.38.2 inked on crossguard)

    Condition:
  • Hilt with traces of silvering, brass disk with "75" is attached to hilt with fine wire. 80% of the blue and gilt remains, last half of blade has dark staining. Two fragments and one mount remain of scabbard.
