brass hilt, flat pommel, wood covered with leather grip, flat blade; unmarked.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #55.38.1 inked on knuckle bow and belt)

Purchased by Norm Flayderman, Wallingford Hall, Kennebunk, Maine.

    Condition:
  • Pommel cap severely bent, leather is scuffed and two small sections are missing. Wire wrap is missing but there is evidence that it was a single strand, small portion of sword belt and top mount of scabbard remain.
