brass hilt, Phrygian helmet pattern pommel, sharkskin over wood grip, etched blade; marked "C. ROBY & CO., W. CHELMSFORD, MASS." on reverse ricasso and top mount of leather scabbard with brass mounts.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #55.38.5 inked on front of guard and obverse of top mount of scabbard)

    Condition:
  • Remnant of original wire wrapped around part of grip, brass disk with "715" is attached to hilt with fine wire. Scabbard in good condition.
