Description:

Victorian gold-clad cornelian and crystal seal fob of Southern interest 19th century
hinged scrollwork-decorated bail-form pendant supporting bezel-set rectangular cornelian, verso with conforming crystal quartz encasing relief design of flowers. Stone measuring 21x17mm, and gold tested to 18K yellow gold.

Provenance: Belonged to Fannie Lackland Washington (1855-1953) wife of Lawrence Washington (1854-1920) who was the first son of John A. Washington III (1821-1861) the Great-Grandnephew of George Washington and the last private owner of Mount Vernon.
