Description:

Viennese painted porcelain and metalwork mantel clock late 19th century
porcelain dome painted with medallions depicting young beauties supported by colonnade centering works with enamel dial, on porcelain pedestal base painted with semicircular vignettes of young ladies; blue beehive mark.
H19" W8 3/4" D8 3/4"

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #E69.26.218)

    Condition:
  • Small areas of minor gilding and enamel loss, very minor flaking to porcelain dial around winding arbors, no visible damage or repair to porcelain, movement is an eight day lever escapement striking on a wire gong, clock is in running order, however we do not guarantee timepieces to be operational after leaving the gallery. Clock is in excellent overall condition.
