Description:

Vintage Agfa Ansco rectangular 8x10 camera and stand early 20th century
with Packard shutter, Wollensak lens, F 3.8 Vitax portrait lens no. 3833, fitted with split 5 x 7 back. With adjustable wheeled stand.

Exhibitions: A similar camera is in the collection of the South Carolina State Museum.

Other Notes: Lens mounts and shutter have undergone constructional improvements to make it usable in late 20th century studio setting.

    Condition:
  • Camera in functioning condition with rubbing, scuffing and wear to casement and stand; F 3.8 lens appears to be in good condition may have light scratches consistent with use; diffusion disk with chips.
