Vintage Chevrolet 3100 Restomod Pickup 1951, The post World War II GM truck designs were a stark contrast to their ancestors. GM's "Advance Design Trucks" Began production mid-year in 1947 with production concluding in 1955. This generation of trucks received enhancements that were welcomed by the buying public. In 1947 GM adopted a design with more natural curves, and less of a boxed appearance. The new horizontal grille was most notable, though the more important feature was a cab design giving the occupants more room.

1951 Chevrolet trucks were the fifth iteration of GM's "Advance Design Trucks". The 3100 was the half-ton, light-duty truck of the 1951 Chevrolet lineup, and distinguishable from the previous model years with a few key changes. Side cowl vents were deleted and new Ventipane vent windows were added to the doors. Optionally cab corner windows, and chrome bumpers were available. The instrument panel consisted of a speedometer, electric fuel gauge, ammeter, temperature gauge, and oil pressure gauge.
