W. W. Greener cased 12-bore GP model takedown sporting gun circa 1891
28" single barrel with removable choke inserts. Blued Martini style underlever action. Side safety. Checkered straight stock of semi-figured walnut. Hard rubber buttplate. Checkered forend with storage for extra choke insert. Choke inserts are Full and 1/4. Canvas covered trunk case with maroon interior. Bore: 0.729". Proof: Birmingham, Nitro .729, 2 3/4, 3 1/4 tons. Pull: 13 7/8". Weight: 6lbs 14oz. SN C39285.

Other Notes: This robust Martini-actioned single barrel weapon was originally marketed as the Gaffer Gun in three 12-bore and one 16-bore variations and was produced by Greeners from 1922 until 1965 and then continued by Webley & Scott until 1979. Also included was a line-throwing gun and harpoon gun, shown in the motion picture "JAWS".

    Condition:
  • Excellent, showing limited use. Wood with light handling marks. Case in good condition with some tears to cover and light losses to interior.
