Whimsical pair Gorham sterling salt dishes circa 1870
each in form of cracked eggs cresting on wheat-grass nest with vermeil interior, with pair salt spoons, L3 1/2"; marked with Gorham anchor, sterling and 875, all in fitted leather case; together with 13 sterling and plated napkin rings. (17pcs)

Provenance: Estate of Lilla F. Hoefer (Mrs. Herbert Wellington Hoefer), Columbia, South Carolina.
