circa 1800
domed crestrail over back flanked by outcurved deep wings, with over-scroll arms above a wide seat raised on cabriole legs with pad feet. (Repairs to strengthen structure, wear to legs consistent with age)

*Note: Four wood samples from this chair frame were sent for microscopic examination to Christensen Wood in Arena, Wisconsin. They were identified as walnut, black locust, tupelo and red pine; the first three are of American origin.
