Description:

English patinated gilt-bronze double-arm Argand lamp, J & I Cox circa 1830, covered ewer on stem issuing candlearms ending in burners holding etched glass globes, supported on dolphin trefoil base and ending on lion's-paw feet, retailed by "J & I Cox New York".
H20 1/2" W15 1/2"

Provenance: Estate of the late Francis D. "Skeeter" McNairy, Savannah, Georgia.

    Condition:
  • Gilt metal mounts with slight rubbing and oxidation, other metal sections with some wear and scuffing; fuel arms with wear, oxidation and soiling; ewer with some scuffing at back.

    Shades are old but may not be original; both have fleabites/nicks at bottom rim that are concealed by metal decorations.
