Two unusual Japanese Imari dishes circa 1870 one with pierced rim and scalloped edge centering blue mountain landscape with a house and trees in the foreground; the second with barbed rim decorated with flowering trees and ladders centering cartouche with floral spray; four blue fans on underside. (The first with small flaw on underside; chip flake to red pierce work; restored chips at rim; the second in good condition.) Diam.8 3/4" and Diam.9" *Provenance: Bearing the Harrod's label.
