Description:

Unique Austrian enamel and brass-mounted jewelry casket late 19th century
raised casket-shaped and partial-domed top supported by twisted brass columns above panel doors opening to six small drawers over one long drawer resting on bracket feet, exterior and interior with total of 28 Neoclassical and mythologically-themed panels.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #78.33.97)

    Condition:
  • Enameled panel on verso is detached and had some chips to edges. Few of the other panels have some tiny nicks along edges. Right door hinge lacking screws. Overall in very nice condition.
