Annamese decorated ceramic covered bowl, Hoi An Cargo circa 1450
shaped finial on domed cover supported by squat bowl, decorated with vibrant colors.

Provenance : From the 1999 recovered shipwrecked vessel discovered in 1997. Salvaged from the South China Sea, near the port of Hoi An in the typhoon area known as the "Dragon Sea". The Hai Doung kilns at Red River Delta were the center for early potteries renown for its high quality export ceramics.
